“I hope you don’t forget me”

Before EVPMaker I used an early digital recorder.  When my now 31 year old son was 14 he took a trip back to Pittsburgh to spend some time with his grandparents.  They took him to a Pirates ballgame and in general had lot of fun.  My father in law died in 1994.

When Justin was 14 he and I were trying to get some evp recordings.  He took the recorder back to an unused room and set it there.  He retrieved it a couple hours later. The message he got was consoling. It’s my father in law:

How cool is that for a grieving boy?
